Texmate was founded and registered on 1st September 2000 with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The company is owned and run by Andrew Patterson and Peter Grigoratos.

The partners have extensive experience in servicing the needs of the Southern African textile industry, having been involved with leading textile agencies over a total period exceeding 65 years.

Texmate decided to diversify its portfolio and is now deeply involved (and highly successful) in the supply of state of the art machinery for the industrial bakery and confectionery industries, sourced from worldwide leading manufacturers in the Netherlands, Italy and the USA.
